Localization

It is quite often that localization of software is associated with its translation into other languages, which is not correct. The translation holds not more than 20% of the average localization project. The remaining 80% may be associated with:

-graphics adaptation

-page size adaptation, content size

- site functionality optimization

- program code changes in relation to localization

- other unforeseen amendments and modifications

Just one example: in many countries of the world, a ZIP code is a five-digit number, but not in all of them. For instance, in Russia it is a six-digit number. Just picture to yourself a program containing a simple address form in which there is a heading “ZIP” and a respective field in the database. Now you realize how much effort is required to localize such form, and in addition, it may be a situation that there is no translation at all.

To realize the localization projects, we assign a team of professional translators and highly skilled software engineers. This allows us to make sure that the desired result of the process of localization is achieved. Sometimes, even native speakers find it difficult to tell the localized product.
